In a lop-sided win the Falls Lake Fire Ants ripped the Vero Beach SeaWolves by
a 11 to 6 count.
Falls Lake scored 4 runs in the 7th inning with the help of 3 hits. The
critical plate appearance was by Xavier Nady who made the crowd come alive
when he tripled emptying the bases. Vero Beach was out-hit by Falls Lake, 14
hits to 10.
Scott Eyre(1-0) got the win allowing no runs in 1 and 1/3 innings. Tom
Glavine(1-1) took the loss. He was unable to control the Falls Lake offense
and allowed 11 hits and 4 walks in 6 innings.
