Kris Benson had 2 base hits at SBC Park as the SANTURCE CANGREJEROS beat the
MEMPHIS REDBIRDS by the count of 5 to 4.
 
SANTURCE had 4 runs cross the plate in the 6th inning when they had 6 base
hits.  The critical plate appearance was by Raul Ibanez who brought the crowd
to their feet when he doubled plating two runs.  MEMPHIS made it exciting in
the 9th, but they were unable to push the needed runs across.  
 
Benson(2-2) got the win allowing 3 runs in 6 innings. Bob Wickman got the
save, his 3rd.  Bob Howry(0-1) was given the loss in relief.  He gave up 2
runs and 2 hits in 1/3 of an inning.  
 
'Some losses are harder to take than others' CHRIS FEENEY lamented after the
game.  'This was one of them.'
